Xavier Tubau

Biography

Xavier Tubau is Tenured Scientist at the Instituto de Lengua, Literatura y Antropología, Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC). Before joining the CSIC, he has been a Beatriu de Pinós, Juan de la Cierva, Ramón y Cajal and Atracción de Talento postdoctoral researcher, and was tenured professor at Hamilton College. He holds a PhD in Spanish Philology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. His research interests are political and cultural history in Early Modern Europe. He is the author of two books and editor of three edited volumes. He has published more than twenty articles and book chapters and has prepared several critical editions of literary works and translations of Latin texts. He has undertaken research stays funded by the American Philosophical Society, the Huntington Library, and the AGAUR of Catalonia. He was Director of the Hamilton College program in Spain. He is currently a member of the Philology, Literature and Arts panel of the Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI).
