Biography
Stefania Giovanna Mallamaci holds a PhD in Humanistic Studies from the University of Calabria, where she currently lectures on Italian literature. She has completed a research stay at the Warburg Institute in London. Her main line of research is the commedia of the early Cinquecento and the origins of theatre in the vernacular, which was the subject of her doctoral thesis. She is currently preparing an edition of Publio Filippo Mantuano’s Formicone, considered the first comedy in the vernacular. She is responsible for academic and institutional relations at the Centro Internazionale di Studi Telesiani Bruniani e Campanelliani “Alain Segonds e Giovanni Aquílecchia”.
