Ren Le


Religion and Empire


Ren Le is a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures, Sichuan University. His research interests are comparative literature, cross-cultural translation, and the history of cultural exchange between China and the West during the Ming and Qing dynasties. For his doctoral thesis he studied confessional manuals in China during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1580-1780). He has published several studies on Chinese language teaching and genealogy books.
