Biography
Míriam Ruiz-Ruano has a degree in Catalan Philology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, for which she received an extraordinary End of Studies award (2016) and an extraordinary prize from the Ministry of Universities (2020). She also has a Master’s degree in Advanced Studies in Catalan Language and Literature from the University of Barcelona and also the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2017). Her doctoral thesis focuses on the literary and historiographical reception of medieval Catalan poets, especially Ausiàs March. In her thesis, she examines the historiographical, editorial and literary processes during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries that made Ausiàs March a classic of Catalan literature.
