Biography
Míriam Ruiz-Ruano graduated in Catalan Philology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona with an extraordinary end-of-degree award (2016). After studying the Master’s Degree in Advanced Studies in Catalan Language and Literature at the Universitat de Barcelona and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2017) and the Master’s Degree in Comparative Literature: Literary and Cultural Studies (2022), she obtained her PhD in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature (2023) with a thesis on the contemporary reception of the Valencian poet Ausiàs March and the construction of the Catalan literary canon. She is the author of studies such as Vós i jo entre els antics. Fonts i influències de la literatura catalana medieval (2020) and L’autor que mira de reüll: La tradició a la literatura moderna i postmoderna (2022). She is currently a lecturer at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
