Biography
Donatella Gagliardi holds a PhD in Hispanic Philology, a degree in Modern Letters (Università degli Studi di Napoli ‘Federico II’) and a degree in Hispanic Philology (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona). She has been a member of the Seminario de Estudios sobre el Renacimiento since its foundation. She is associate professor of Spanish Literature in the Department of Literary, Linguistic and Comparative Studies at the Università degli Studi di Napoli ‘L’Orientale’ (accredited as full professor since November 2017). Her main research interests are literary censorship and political satire in the 16th-17th centuries; the production and reception of books of chivalry in Golden Age Spain; female reading and treatises on the education of girls and women in the 16th century. She is the scientific coordinator of the agreements between research groups from the Università di Napoli L’Orientale and the Université de Paris III-Sorbonne Nouvelle. With an extensive experience in science dissemination, knowledge transfer, scientific management, and the organization of international conferences and workshops, she is currently preparing an international symposium on academic podcasting, which will take place in Naples in May 2025.
