Donatella Gagliardi

Biography

Donatella Gagliardi has a degree in Modern Letters (Università degli Studi di Napoli “Federico II”) and Hispanic Philology (Università degli Studi di Napoli “Federico II”) and a PhD in Hispanic Philology from the same university. She is a senior lecturer in Spanish Literature in the Department of Literary, Linguistic and Comparative Studies at the Università degli Studi di Napoli “L’Orientale (accredited as full professor since November 2017). Her main research interests are literary censorship and political satire in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries; the production and reception of books of chivalry in Golden Age Spain, and the sixteenth-century Institutiones of the perfect Christian woman. She is currently organizing an international conference on Quiroga’s Indexes to be held in Naples in September 2021.
