Biography

Andrea González Centelles holds a degree in Spanish Philology from the University of Girona, and has a master’s degree in Teacher Training (University of Barcelona) and  Teaching Spanish and Catalan as a Foreign Language (University of Girona). She has taught at the University of Münster. She has a pre-doctoral FI contract from the Generalitat de Cataluña and is working on her doctoral thesis on “La República hebrea” by Jerónimo Román, included in his Repúblicas del mundo (1575). The thesis examines the construction of the memory of Judaism and forms of control of the historical discourse of Israel’s past in sixteenth-century Spain.
